Welcome to Chiliwist & Raw! I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re new here, let me fill you in on what we’re about.
I have enjoyed baking sourdough bread for four years now and love teaching my friends and community how to as well! I am currently offering classes to my community locally in the Okanogan Valley and will eventually incorporate fresh milled flour into these classes as well. Stay tuned!
My husband and I moved up into the mountains of the Chiliwist a few years ago where we bought our farm, complete with a huge farmhouse, barn for our cows and hay, and of course a chicken coop.
In Spring of 2022, when we were in the process of buying our farm, we put a down payment on a Jersey heifer cow whom we were told was pregnant and due to calve that fall.

This sweet Jersey girl, whom we named Betty, has been giving our family fresh raw milk for over a year now. We found out later that she and her heifer calf, Ella are both tested A2/A2!

A Little Bit About Me
I’m the youngest of seven (baby of the family), a born and raised Washingtonian who grew up on forty acres where my parents taught my siblings and I how to garden and raise animals. We raised sheep, rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigs, and more and took them to the county fair! Both of my parents were hard workers who loved to garden and homestead.
Growing up on a farm created all of my fond childhood memories and is what inspired me to want to raise my own children this way.
After knowing each other practically our whole lives, in June of 2015, I married my childhood crush and together, he and I have four beautiful children: two boys and two girls! We homeschool and are passionate about teaching them life skills (my eldest can already make butter and lasagna from scratch!).
I love teaching people about the benefits of raw milk, fresh milled flour, and sourdough. I’m passionate about eating whole, nourishing foods, educating my children and those around me with this knowledge and creating a life that is raw in all the best ways.

Hello, I’m Laura! This is one of my four littles, Jolene (A.K.A. JoJo). She’s the spiciest of our four.
Fun Facts About Me:
I was considered a nerd in high school, but I never let it bother me too much – I love learning!
I played catcher in high school softball – I miss those days!
I was a towhead when I was a baby, but since I’ve never dyed my hair, I guess I’m what they call a “dirty blonde” now. My hair is past my waist and despite what you may think, it’s not that hard to manage. Most days, I throw it up in a bun and call it a day.
I am a “coffee snob” and here’s why. I have drank coffee for many years and at first drank it for taste, but I soon began to question what the health benefits and risks were. I’ve been drinking Purity coffee for over a year now and love it. Here is my referral link if you decide to try it. They have excellent customer service.
I am a home body. Give me a cup of coffee, tell me there are no plans for the day, add in some time to bake or read and I am happy! Bonus if I can do these things with a friend.
